Norwegian elections
Norwegian General Elections (Stortingsvalget) will take place on 8 September 2025. Advance voting is available via the Norwegian Consulate in Calgary. Eligible voters You need to meet the following eligibility criteria to vote: You must be a Norwegian citizen You will be at least 18 years old on December 31, 2025 You are currently, or have been previously, registered in the National Population Register (Folkeregisteret) as a resident in Norway In order to vote in The Sámi Parliamentary Election, you must also be listed in the Sámi census. Advance voting Advance voting in person at the Consulate starts on August 7 and ends August 28. Please note that this is well in advance of Election Day. This is because the Consulate needs to allow for the extra time needed to forward submitted votes from Calgary to Norway. In order to vote, you will need to book an appointment in advance. You will be provided with voting materials and be able to submit a sealed envelope with your vote at the Consulate. You will need to bring valid ID with your Norwegian PIN (Personnummer) at your appointment. The Consulate will witness the submission and forward your submitted vote to the appropriate electoral district in Norway. In order to book an appointment, please use this booking link. |

Laft Hus is a Norwegian museum and culture centre in Red Deer. Trollhaugen is the yearly week-long Norwegian cultural camp. Both Laft Hus and Trollhaugen distribute their newsletters to paid-up members.
